Bio and Career

Creative Works by HG is the artistic vision of Heather G., a multidisciplinary artist with over three decades of experience transforming ideas into expressive, meaningful creations.

Holding an Associate of Arts in Fine and Applied Arts from Saddleback College (1996) and having completed more than 30 additional credits across painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media, Heather has developed a robust foundation that rivals a full bachelor’s degree in art. She launched her first creative venture in 1996, specializing in murals, faux finishes, and decorative painting for homes, restaurants, and medical offices—bringing personalized elegance to every space.

After years of teaching art to children ages 4–15 and co-running a beloved summer program called “YoungArtWorkshop” for eight years, she cultivated a passion for nurturing creativity in others, leaving a lasting impression on students and families alike—many of whom still reflect on her impact over a decade later.

For the past 17 years, Heather has served as a Sign Artist for Trader Joe’s, crafting vibrant in-store murals, seasonal displays, and custom signage that delight thousands of shoppers nationwide—all while building a loyal following who later became private art clients.

Now, with the launch of Creative Works by HG, she channels her diverse experience into original, eco-conscious artworks made from reclaimed and repurposed materials. Her portfolio features striking 2D and 3D mixed-media collages, as well as pieces incorporating recycled glass, wood, and metal, ranging from whimsical, floral designs to darkly enchanting works infused with gothic, witchy, and macabre themes—skulls, horror elements, and all.
